Making the Most of Our Initial Free Consultation

custom-wall-cabinet-bookcase-consultingCustom cabinet work starts with a visit to the space to be remodeled, ex. Kitchen, bath, home office, butler’s pantry, family room, bar, closet, or an entertainment center.  This is a free visit.

Our Woodwork Project Process

We listen to your ideas, needs and “wish list” and then come up with a plan.  By selecting the type of wood, finish and door style we are able to give you a quote in a few days.

After the quote and an agreement is reached, I will design a drawing,  but only after you have chosen the actual appliances you would like to use.

New Construction vs. Existing Kitchen Remodel

A remodel has a bit more in depth list of challenges to be aware of ( than a new home) and address at the start of the project.

For example:  One project had lovely existing Brazilian cherry hardwood floors that had aged beautifully.  The challenge was to keep the existing “foot print” exactly the same while changing the appliances to new locations & adding more.  The bare floors under the existing cabinets may not have any “finish” on them or at very least will not be “aged” so the color is dramatically different.

We discussed at great length all the detailed storage needs, sometimes lengthy phone calls and then we met in person with a drawing of new cabinets.  The plan allowed us to create a home for their specific serving pieces and other storage  challenges.  This review of the drawings allowed for changes & approval to start building.

A New Home starts with a set of plans supplied by your builder.  We do not require cabinet drawings. We can give you an estimate from these plans in a few days,  keeping in mind your selected wood choices.

We take the dimensions and come up with a cabinet plan for all your cabinet needs;  Kitchen, bath vanities, linen cabinets, butler’s pantries, laundry, mud room, bookcases…entertainment cabinets.

Call for an appointment for a free estimate and bring your scrap book of photos and your wish list.  We strive to help you have the best experience and create your dream cabinet project!
